About  Lab:

The lab serves the Advanced Controls course as well as Major projects and other courses are shared as well. Windows PCs with Mat lab/Simulink are used to model dynamic systems and design controllers. Extensive use of Mat lab and Simulink enable high level analysis of complex systems. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art computing facilities. Students and faculties associated with the department also have access to a large computer network available in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

ETAP is the most comprehensive analysis platform for the design, simulation, operation, and automation of generation, distribution, and industrial power systems. As a fully integrated enterprise solution, ETAP extends to a Real-Time Intelligent Power Management System to monitor, control, automate, simulate, and optimize the operation of power systems. ETAP is developed and is used worldwide as high impact software. Our laboratory is equipped with ETAP PS with LAN. Students are able to explore the enormous simulation power of ETAP in designing and solving a range of power system steady state and dynamic problems giving them a smooth and easier transition to industry positions.
